A question about coffee?

I was just wondering about this. My friend re-uses her coffee grounds the next day. She makes 4 cups and leaves the grounds in the basket and makes another 4 cups the next day (on top of the old coffee) I asked her why and she said it saved on coffee because she didn't have to use so much the second time and she only used 1/2 the filters. Does anyone else do this and if you don't, why not??

  1. i am a massive coffee drinker and no i dont reuse coffee grounds. it dilutes the new grounds and basically turns into a weak tea or something with a coffee flavor. ive done it before but did not like it. i would advise against it but just use a little bit of coffee but what i do do is if i still have coffee in my cup next day i just add fresh coffee with it. hope i helped toast to the coffee

  2. Apparently she doesn't like Fresh Coffee. She may have become a Canned COffee Junky and is trying to perfect the bland, stale canned stalled coffee flavor so prevelant in the convient preground, prestaled canned coffee industry.

I can only drink freshly roasted, freshly ground coffee AND it is SO organic that it begins to mold up after a day or two past the brew...

  3. Based on my experience, the taste of what your friend did won't be as intense anymore.

What your friend could do is, buy a coffee brewer, put the beans (powdered) and let it boil. At the end of the day, switch off the brewer and turn it on when needed again.

He can drink that coffee for 4 days without the taste changing much. I've done this in my office and they don't even realize the coffee was the same as 4 days ago.
