I heard that malaria never leaves you, even after you recover from it. Is it possible for it to lie dormant and then if a mosquito bites you, infect someone else?

  1. This is not completely true it may stay in body but this may be for a long time but you will rid your self some time of this and its possible for a skeeter to bite you but un likely to transmit to someone else. they suck your blood not spit it out.

  2. 2 species of Malaria Plasmodium ovale and Plasmodium vivax both have a liver phase associated with it. The parasite can lie dormant in your liver for an extended period of time...even coming back after 10 years or more. Luckily there are specialists that can identify the species of Malaria that people suffer from so that the treating physician can give the proper medication to eradicate both the dormant and active malarial parasites.

  3. Nopes, if you're treated with anti-malarials, there will not be a carrier state, so mozzies won't be infected by you..
