A question for AA/NA contestants?

Question

If a man giving another man a hug helps him in his recovery, why not just take him to a motel for the night and put him on the fast track to recovery?

Hahahahaha!

That's why AA never worked for me, especially the god parts of it. It works for a few but was a huge turn off for me. Their cultists will come in and lie about AA's success rate, but it's about 5%.

I achieved sobriety via secular out-patient counseling and avoid AA.
