I have a product to sell over internet and the name of the product is "big machine knives"

Now what should be the domain name

or

Which domain name would give more traffic and more business to me.

Obviously the words big and machine here represent some other words. Kindly advice.

  1. I would put knives in the domain name. You go by more than just the domain name - you have keywords and site description where you can use the word "blades" to come up in searches

  2. It sounds like your product description is "knives". If that is correct, then I would use the name with "knives" in it as that would tend to drive targeted traffic as opposed to generic traffic.

I think the more descriptive term would be more productive.

  3. Hi,

To answer cyou queation i will encourage you to read more about qualities of good domain name.I will give you this link to log into then read what to consider when choosing your domain name. http://www.your-inforcom.com/internetdom...  http://www.your-inforcom.com/domain_name...

  4. If bigmachineknives is more accurate pick that.  If your customers search for the word blades as well, then buy that domain as well.  They are cheap, so don't worry about the cost.

People will not necessarily find you because of your domain name, although it has a little impact on search engines. Most will put in certain key words, and your website has to have those words in their title bar at the top and then it will more easily come up in searches.  If you have more than one domain name, just forward the others to your main site.  Just about any hosting company will forward at very low cost or free.
