could it be possible to have a machine which provides electricity using wood as its source of energy?

  1. yes but you have to ask yourself are you an environmentally friendly person if not you could use the old steam engine stylr technology. wire up a burner to a steam powered engine connect a dynamo to store the energy or have it used directly (using it directly might blow a fuse) a dynamo connected to a battery will do. (remember a dynamo in reverse stores energy get it wrong and it uses energy).


  2. It is not possible in a normal suburban environment.

    If it had to be done as an experiment it would require a steam engine connected to a generator.

    The efficiency would be CIRCA 15 %

  3. A steam generator= EPA permits, Smoke stack scrubbers like coal fired plants, etc. It would involve too much hassle.

  4. Possible yes, can you buy such a thing, NO!
