  1. could be low on refrigerant, the filters may be dirty or your indoor coil may be clogged. Any way you look at it, you'll need a tech to check it out. It shouldn't be too expensive to fix.

    What's preon?

  2. could be no preon sometimes that happens but you have to call someone take care and good luck

  3. It may be many things beyond a resident to diagnose and repair. Call a AC repair company. It may be as simple as a bad thermostat or low on refrigerant ($100) or as expensive as a defective compressor ($600).

  4. HVAC Tech.:   The problem you describe could be caused by several factors. You don't say if the outside unit is running or not. Out there check power supply to that unit. If there is power, you need to make sure the low-voltage ( small wires to unit) have not been broken off by children, pets, weed eaters, or lawnmowers. The next check would be refrigerant charge may have leaked out a faulty joint. Only a technician could fix that problem, so you may as well call the suppler and out if they will cover it under warranty. Good luck.

  5. If you just bought it a few months ago then it was probably alot cooler outside then.

The outside temperature needs to be a little warm (preferably hot) to get a good freon charge. I don't know why exactly but I do know that for a fact if they installed it in cooler weather then you need to call them and have them check the freon level now that's it's hot outside.
