It's about average. The ACT is on a scale with the highest mark being 36. If you're unhappy with the score, you could try to take the SATs instead. Many colleges accept both, but you should probably try the other test to see if you could score better.

Well 20 isn't going to cut it if you're planning on applying to a high-class university. . .but it's slightly above average ranging about a 1400 on the SAT
