AFL lay charges against Ben Cousins?

Funny thing ,the AFL boss put the same disrepute label on Ackers .

Dimetriou brought the game into disrepute years ago,and the AFL and the rules committee should also be charged for the way they have tarnished our once hard tough game with their tiggy touch rules.

Ben Cousins has been charged with a serious offence.

He was caught driving (erratically according to police) & he refused a blood test to determine whether he had any drugs in his system. Police had ruled out alcohol. It is not only about what he had on his person. (His passenger had illicit drugs on him).

If he had no drugs in his system I fail to see why he would refuse the test - knowing he would be charged for failing to do so.

I'm a WCE supporter but i can see where the AFL are coming from..

I don't understand how Ben's struggle with addiction has anything to do with bringing the game into disrepute.  If he was high on drugs and playing thats one thing, but his personal life is a different story.

Andy, needs to have a good hard look at how HE is bringing the game into disrepute!

I don't like Ben BUT isn't it essentially the media who have brought the game into disrepute. He did not have anything illegal on him and so he's taken ecstasy, like I said before the % of population that take drugs is not the low 5 or 10% people think it is.

Can't stand Ben Cousins but if the media didn't hype it up it would be a non event.

idiots. not to say I like ben cousins or anything, but he was found with no actual ILLEGAL drugs. but the eagles still sacked him lol. i think acker should be fined everytime he writes an article in the sports section, even if he doesnt accuse someone of something.
