  1. Not a problem. It may seem to you that your fingers are too short, but that is just because you are learning now, and you haven't yet learned how to manipulate your fingers to get them where you want them to go on the fret board. You can find a great deal about this subject and much more if you browse this web site..one of the best..for learning the correct way to play your guitar. www.guitarprinciples.com  Keep working on your craft and you will be great. I have every confidence in you! I have been playing guitar for many years and my fingers now do things I never dreamed they could do! And you will too! Good luck!

  2. NO I know plenty of rocking guitarist with short fingers. OH and Fingers can stretch out

  3. Not a chance you can be stopped by short fingers. One of the greatest guitarists of all time, Django Reinhardt, had just three fingers (including his thumb) on his fretboard hand. His third and fourth fingers were paralyzed in a fire.

  4. no, with practice it wont matter. I have really long and skinny fingers, which is good if I'm trying to play a chord that's like

or something like that. but john frusciante, RHCP's guitarist and my favorite, has really short fingers so he often plays these weird bar chords that have cost me a lot to play. short fingers also have advantages/disadvantages! just keep that in mind and keep practicing!
