If it is a permanent retainer, sorry, but yes it hurts bad.

Especially when they tighten it.

If its a removable one, sorry I'm not sure, never had it

well are you getting the mold or getting the retainer?

sometimes the mold hurts because they accidentally

get your gums instead of your of your mouth but that's

only for a second lol. but when they give you the real

retainer it doesn't hurt at all. lol. [: good luck.

just letting you know after you get your retainer you will

have a lisp for a little bit.

no it aches because the teeth are being moved but a bit of painkillers get rid of that

nope it doesnt hurt. the only part that might be uncomfortable is when they take the molds, but that still doesn't hurt. You'll be fine as long as you keep wearing the retainer. Don't worry :)

Nope, retainers don't hurt at all.

It might be difficult for you to speak with one on for about a week, but you'll get used to it. Good luck, and remember not to lose it!
