AVG Free Edition Help?

Question

After downloading AVG Free Edition 8.0, when it comes to updates, after loading the available updates, i would fail to install the updates. The description that was displayed was "A .bin file is missing"

What should i do to get my AVG up to date?

Hi Lianne! I had it also awhile ago. But when I decided to re-install AVG 8 then update, I was surprised. It pushes through. I think the problem had been solved by AVG.

You are nr 6 today with the same problem. Until AVG free 7.5 I always recommended AVG, Avast as very good free  anti virus programs.

I stopped recommending avg, because  over the last couple of weeks there were a great number of askers who had problems with AVG.

I would uninstall AVG and install Avast
