AWESOME (potentially) PARTY HELP!?

Question

Hey ok so it's a going away party/12th birthday party. It's boys and girls and I don't want it to be a dance type party. I'm not sure what the theme should be, indoors or outdoors or what to do besides games like "Truth or Dare", "Hide And Seek at Night" or "Would You Rather". Please help! This can't be a boring party.

make it a pool party.

Set up a volleyball net and play volleyball and badmitten.

Set up an inflatable kiddie pool and fill it with water, break into 2 teams and have a tug of war, the losing team ends up in the pool.

Relay races, Potato sack races, three legged races, wheelbarrel races, etc.

Set up an ice cream bar. Get chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream and some toppings. Sprinkles, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and marachino cherries and have everyone make their own sundaes. You can get the plastic sundae glasses at the dollar store or the waffle cone bowls at the grocery store.

You can have a pie eating contest BUT instead of pie, fill the tins with whipped cream whoever finishes first, wins!

Get a pinata, everyone like candy.  Go to the party store and find one you like and usually in the same aisle you can find what's called, pinata filler, they're big bags of candy to put in the pinatas.  You'll still have some room to put some of your own favorites.
