  1. Are you still attending class in the school that issued the I-20?

  2. You can stay as long as you continue to study full time at the same school.  The validity of your stay depends on the I-94 card in your passport, which should have been marked D/S when you arrived on your F1 visa - D/S meaning "duration of status," meaning that you may stay as long as you maintain status as a full-time student.  If, on the other hand, the I-94 card states a date that is passed, you are out of status.  You must get a new I-20 from your school, and use it request an extension of stay through USCIS.  See your international student advisor.
