Question:

About my ring?

I recently bought a ring from Yahoo! Shopping. I think it was around maybe 20 something dollars. It said it was sterling silver. I brought it to the jewler to have it sized, and they asked me if it was silver and I said Yeah, because i thought they meant sterling silver. When I got it back and I wore it, it turned my finger green. Does this mean it never was sterling silver, or does it mean it was but the jewler made a mistake because they thought it was just silver? I'm so confused.

  1. You should never size a silver ring.  The only solution you have is to clean it and put clear finger nail polish on it.  When you clean it make sure to use silver jewelry cleaner.

  2. It probably is silver, the other metals that they mix in with it , most likely is what is turning your finger green .
