About rent a flat form agency?

My reference did not pass for rent a flat, the agency make me to pay 6 months in advance. Do I have another way( except using a Guarantor)?

  1. If you got through an agency then no. A private landlord can make decisions as need be and doesn't always reference but agencies do.

    The advance is needed to cover the AST Assured Shorthold Tenancy agreement which states that a tenant must be allowed occupancy for six months. If you don't have a guarantor then there is no other course of action as this must be accounted for, if you have failed referencing then the landlord needs some form of guarantee.


  2. Have a look in your local newspaper, sometimes people are less strict, you could always share with some one you know
