  1. Breeders' Cup is being staged across two days, for the first time, this year - Friday 26th & Saturday 27th October.  Do note that the 3 races on the Friday (Dirt Mile, Filly & Mare Sprint and Juvenile Turf) are NOT graded races.

Friday 26th will be shown on ESPN2 from 4pm ET

Saturday 27th will be shown on ESPN from 12pm ET

Entries have not been made yet but this site will give you all the information you can possibly need: http://www.breederscup.com

  2. They are Breeder's Cup kicks off on October 26 at 4:00 PM (eastern time that is). On October 27 it will begin a Noon Time (eastern). The channel they will be on will be ESPN (which is channeln 206 on DirecTV. I will be watching all of it to! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!

  3. The Breeders Cup Races are on both Friday and Saturday, October 26 and 27.  Three of the newly added races will be run on Friday night (Juvie turf, dirt mile, Filly & Mare sprint).  All the others are run on Saturday afternoon.

Here's a schedule of the races and post times...

    Friday, October 26, 2007

    BC Juvenile Turf - 4:20

    BC Dirt Mile - 4:55

    BC Filly & Mare Sprint - 5:35

    Saturday, October 27, 2007

    BC Juvenile Fillies - 12:30

    BC Juvenile - 1:10

    BC Filly & Mare Turf - 1:55

    BC Sprint - 2:35

    BC Mile - 3:30

    BC Distaff - 4:05

    BC Turf - 4:50

    BC Classic - 5:35

Friday's races will be on ESPN2 (Coverage starts at 4) and Saturdays races on ESPN (coverage starts at 12).

This is the last weekend of the Breeders Cup Challenge...  the last opportunity for "Win and You're In."  You can watch all the races on ESPN from 4-6pm eastern time today.  You'll be particularly interested in the Lane's End Breeders Futurity which is run at 5:15 at Keeneland today.  Breaking from post 11 is a 2 year old colt named Ready Set.  He broke his maiden last time out, winning by 10 lengths.  He's trained by Michael Matz, ridden by Corey Nakatani wearing the silks of Lael Stables ;o)

  4. The 3 races on Friday are brand new to the format.  I think the Mile on the dirt is going to be a great race!  Look for many duel, or even triple entries for certain horses over the 2 day event.  Whoever decides to run that Mile, is really going to be in the best race of the entire weekend.  The filly sprint should be all Dream Rush and the 3yold grass race is basically open for an upset.  I think the Classic and Sprint should be the 2 best on Saturday.  The rest are really tough.
