Above ground pool?

Question

I recently got an above ground pool and it says I need to even out the area. There is where I want to put the pool. Do i have to pull out all the grass even when there is a cloth that goes under it?

no i have one and just put it in a very firm surface or it will tip over (it happen to me)(waste of water) and no u don't have to pull out the grass but maybe u can cut it , i have alot of grass and junk under my pool and it really doesn't matter>

The grass has to go. If not  it will come through the liner in a short time. Then I would put some plastic down and then a weed control cloth, then finish up with some all purpose sand. A lot of work and a little extra expense but in the long run well worth it if you plan on keeping the pool for a long time

It is best to place it on sand. Have a load of sand delivered and level it out,then place the pool on top of it. It makes it better for the childrens feet and it is very comfortable.Wayne has given a very good answer. I would agree completely with him on this. Thumbs up for Wayne.
