  1. u dont need software its like a usb and u just put stuff on

  2. I'm wondering if the other people who replied ever actually tried the data cable approach, because it does NOT work without driver software.

Sure, you can plug in the data cable and it will look like the phone is connected (it will even start charging the phone through the usb cable), but you'll need software like Motorola's PhoneTools or DataPilot to handle the transfer.  Won't work otherwise.

Bluetooth does work without additional software, but you can only transfer one file at a time, which takes forever if you have a lot of pictures you want to copy to your computer.

Oh, and don't buy PhoneTools from Motorola because they'll charge you 40 bucks.  Look around and you'll find it at half price at places like Wireless Emporium or Amazon.

  3. Friend, If ur phone is bluetooth enabled, then just get a bluetooth device, install the CD that came with it, and start transferring.

If u want to transfer with USB, then install the CD that came with USB device. Because every harware that you connect to a PC requires a driver software to support that hardware. If u have installed, then it automatically detects ur phone like a pen drive device, and u can start transferring.

In case u dont have a CD, connect to the internet, search for the device software for your phone model, and install it.
