Acapulco or Aruba?

Question

My fiance and I are trying to plan our honeymoon and have narrowed it down to these two resort towns, but I've never been to either and can't decide. Which one would is better for newlyweds in terms of activities available, food and dining, etc?

Never been to acapulco but i have been to aruba, cancun and mazatlan. i'd go with aruba but dont go dancing at carlos and charlies , or vandersloot will get you!

Aruba!!!  Great romantic atmosphere, terrific food, and the most exquisite scenery that will give you warm memories long after you leave.  Acapulco is nice, too, but Aruba is a more private environment with an array of activities (if you choose to participate) and breathtaking beaches  Best wishes!!!

He would like Aruba, but if you're newlyweds, you would like Acapulco better.  Aruba has European style beaches, which if he takes a long enough gander at will probably have you sending him to divorce court.  You'll have a better time in Acapulco, trust me.

Aruba! Hands down

There have been a lot of trouble with tourists in Acapulco, meaning people getting stopped on the road and robbed at gunpoint. Sometimes they just take your money and jewelry, other times they take your rental car too. Tourism is wayyy down due to all the problems. I just read an article where road bandits just held a family captive by gunpoint for 3 days. Also, sometimes even the police are corrupt in Acapulco due to the wages they are paid. It's almost easier for them to make up bogus charges on you to extort money. Stay far far away from there if you don't want the possibility of bad things happening to you and your hubby.

I would choose Aruba, because Acapulco is as of right now.. not the safest place to be.

My friend went to Aruba, and loved it. It's beautiful, I saw pictures.  And now, my sister is going to Acapulco this summer; and it's worrying me. I had the option, but I chose not to because of the violence there right now.

acapulco. i am a huge fan of mexico. i have been to many different places in mexico. i have never been to aruba. but if i had to choose i would go to acapulco

I've never been to Acapulco, however I've been to Cancun, Aruba and Bermuda.

Of the 3, I'd pick Bermuda.

Aruba is a dump.

Cancun is very overbuilt.

Honestly, I wouldn't go with either one. Barbados would be perfect. It's small and secluded and very romantic! Congrats and good luck!

well well well.... I would definately go for Acapulco dear...

But incase you cannot decide either one of them then definately go for Turks and Caicos !!!
