Accessing children's charities?

Does anyone know how do access children's charity (as a recipient) in Manitoba, Canada? I hear of children's charities all the time, but always in a "please donate to us" kind of way. Now i'm looking for donations for a trip I'm taking for my daughter with a health condition. Is there some kind of list out there?
