Acne scar treatments?

I have very severe acne scars; both on my face and my arms. For the most part, I have stopped picking at my acne to avoid future scarring. However, I need to get rid of my scars (especially on my arms) within 8 months so I will feel beautiful in my prom dress. Any tips or products people would recommend that can help me achieve my goal?

The thing I used for my acne scars was a derma-roller, but its not a cream or something you get from your doctors,you can just buy it on-line like I did! =]

They are used in private clinics. I saw one in London charging £2000 for 5 sessions! (because it works) but you can buy the same tool and do it at home yourself!
