Actress Questions?

Hi, I'm honeybuns, and I love acting. I've been doing school plays for quite some time now, and people are telling me I'm a good actress, but I don't know...

A) How to tell my parents without them freaking out.

B) How I could get "discovered" as an actress if there really isn't alot about me that's interesting.

I say, take some time out to think, do some research, consider the ups and downs of the entertainment industry and be sure that you still want to do this.  

Most parents are generally happy when their children have some clue as to what they want to do with their lives at such a young age...so you have THAT to your advantage. This is the angle you should play.  

If this is REALLY what you want to do with your life...then you owe it to yourself to GO FOR IT, no matter how adverse your parents are.  Educate yourself as much as you can about the industry and your craft (more plays, acting coaches, network with like-minded people and professional actors as much as you can).  Be persistant...and realistic:  Success may not happen overnight.  And you have to work very hard in order to go far.

A) get a dvd of dead poets society & insist they watch it!

tell them of your talent & desire to pursue it.

B) do as much acting & networking as possible
