Adding finches to group?

Question

I have 7 finches, 5 society, 2 others (not sure what they are) 1 female sitting on 4 eggs, she has already hatched babies before. My question is can I add new finches when i have a female sitting on eggs or will this make her stop. The eggs should be hatching soon. Then if i add new finches then I would be afraid the new hatchlings will be neglected. It never seems like a good time to add new finches. I would like to get some more exotic finches in the avairy.

I would wait until you have older babies and nobody is sitting on eggs because the new birds will disrupt the whole cageful, and could be a problem to the birds who are already there. They might think of the newcomers as possible enemies.
