I got my new bifocals today and everything seems o.k. except I can't seem to ignore that blurry line beneath my eye. They are lined up right, just wander how long it took you to train yourself to turn your head a little more differently than ususal?

  1. It's different for everyone...some people take a few hours, some take a few weeks and some never adapt at all.

The thing to remember is that you need to move your head more now not just your eyes...one thing to try is this: whatever you want to look at, point your nose at it and then move your head up or down until it comes into focus...the other thing that I have my clients work on is reading and book or magazine and then switching to watching tv...just practice going between the two and over time you will find that it becomes 2nd nature to you.

    Good luck!

  2. almost everyone has this complaint in the 1st few days, and almost everyone adapts fine!  stick with it & good luck!
