Just came across this quote. What does everyone think about it from a LE prospective? Dumb question but hey I am bored and have time to kill.

  1. It's more often heard as, "Admit nothing. Deny everything. Demand proof." It's a joke with a bit of reality in it.

  2. In today's world, I thought the quote was:

Admit nothing, Deny everything, Demand proof.

  3. That's a common defensive tactic. Dumb kids, sh*thouse lawyers (someone who took a law class once and thinks they know everything) and stupid career criminals do it all the time. It rarely works and usually serves only to P/O the officers even more once they find out the truth. So instead of a warning or a misdemeanor, they are breaking out the Criminal Code and looking for felonies and other Mickey Mouse charges they can find that fits what you've done.

Better to just say I am not talking to you without my lawyer. It neither admits guilt nor claims innocence. Cops hear it all the time and some respond, "Why do you need a lawyer if you aren't guilty." Don't respond, just repeat, "I not speaking to you with out a lawyer." They may act p.o.'d but it's actually business as usual.
