  1. The Magi is the name for the Three Wise Men who travelled from the East following the Star of Bethlehem to where the baby Jesus was. The adoration part is them worshiping the Christ child as they knew he was the Messiah.I don't know what you would consider it being

    famous for except that it is a very well known Renaissance painting and the painter depicted his patron Cosmo Medici and his family as part of the crowd.
