Adriamycin and being sterile?

My fiance has cancer about 7 years ago. His chemo was Adriamycin. His doctor said that he would be able to produce children after his chemo. The pharmacist that mixed his chemo, also my sister, said that this type of chemo causes sterilzation and he is most likely sterile. Which do you believe is true?
