Adult learning in England?

Question

Example :

I am a 40 years old man and my job has to do with trade.

Due to difficulties my job is over.

Is there any program in England responsible for re-educating me,so I can find another job?

My new job can be either related with trade or not related with trade.

Any link would be really helpfull.

There are various courses etc allowing people to retrain or gain extra skills.  Some are subsidised for those on Unemployment benefits.

some employment agencies have courses that you can access once you sign up with them.  i am not sure whether they take it from subsequent wages, or whether they assume that as you will be earning more, they will gain from their higher placement fee.
