  1. All mammals will ie dogs, cows if given the chance even if it makes them sick..

  2. No.  Most animals only have mothers milk when they are infants.  Many human adults are lactose intolerant.  Face it folks, we had many millions of years of evolution where adult human/humanoid rarely drank milk.  Now within the last 50 years we are supposed to be drinking several glasses a day.  I think not.  We are brainwashed by the dairy industry.

  3. Jim is right.. no other species drinks milk after they are old enough to eat food.  Nor does one species drink milk from another (except rare "adoption" cases)

Humans were meant to drink human milk until weaned.  Cow's milk is a foreign substance responsible for lots of health problems, from babies' colic and difficulty absorbing the large protein molecules in cow's milk ..  to the enormous presence of hormones, antibiotics and pesticides rampant in milk from commercial producers.  Don't you ever wonder why girls are reaching puberty at 9 years of age?  The huge levels of hormones and antibiotics given to dairy cattle to make them grow fast and unnaturally increase their milk production are present in all dairy products.

If you think you cannot get by without dairy at least buy certified organic products.

  4. Occasionally an adult cow will suck from another cow or from herself if she can reach her own udder (some can).

Dogs and cats will drink milk when it is ofered by their owners, but in the wild the mother animals keep their milk only for their youngsters and wean them as soon as possible. That way they are able to build up their own nutrition to be able to breed again in good health.

  5. No,as there is no way for them to obtain it,and they don't need it after a certain age. Humans are the only mammals who drink milk after infancy, and cats and dogs only drink it because they are given it by their owners. Adults really don't need milk, but it is an easy way for many people to get nutrition and calcium. My mother, who is 77 years old, practically lives on milk, pudding, ice cream and other dairy products. She would starve to death if she couldn't have them.
