Advanced Degrees and Government Intelligence Jobs

Question

I have a general question about the ranks in jobs such as the CIA, FBI Secret Service and the NSA. What's the difference in having a Masters Degree and a Juris Doctorate in these positions, and how high can you go in these particular fields with such advanced degreesunder your belt? Thanks.

The intelligence communities (16 of them) are most interested in technical degrees/skills.  Those in charge tend to be ex-military and highly technical skilled.  (former US FED/SES/DC)
