Advanced driving license?

What is the benefit in having it and what is involved in getting one?

Firstly, you don't get a licence as an advanced driver. It is just a certificate and badge. I did my advanced driving in 1984 and I've kept it up ever since then, get retested every few years. If you are interested have a look at Road craft handbook, this is the advanced drivers bible. It does take time to pass and get too a very high standard. How long have you been driving? There are a few organisations available; RoSPA, Institute of Advanced Drivers. There is also the Driving Instructors advanced driving course at Cardington and the DIAmond advanced drivers. I would highly recommend it.  You will be amazed at what you will learn.

There can be a benefit on your insurance. Some companies will give you an additional discount on your insurance plus, in theory, you should end up as a better driver. I think the contact will be with the Institute of Advanced drivers
