I am thinking about going to college to get a degree in aerospace engineering. I just dont want to waste time if after completing college i wont be able to find a job, get good pay, ect. I was wondering if anyone could help me on finding out how easy it is to find a job in this field, what the pay may be, and any other useful info. Or does anyone think there is another engineering field to enter that would be better?

  1. First of all if it is Aerospace Engineering you are interested in, go for it. For jobs, there are more than enough jobs around that will employ you after graduation. As long as the aviation industry is expanding, there will always be a job. If not commercial, military.

So go ahead and you will be glad you did.

  2. Yes, i am 14 and would love to do that if not a pilot.

  3. Josh -

Your first concern should be finding what you really want to do. If you get a degree in an area that you enjoy, then your grades will be high and you will succeed, even if you have to make some sacrifices to do so. If you pursue a degree in a field that is less appealing to you, then your grades will be lower and you will give up when the going gets tough, because after all, that's not what you really want to do. There will always be obstacles in your path. You can easily clear those obstacles if you are motivated to do so by your own self - interest. All careers are solely the result of what you make them.

  4. You will be able to find a job after school if you get a degree in aerospace engineering... Just keep your grades up!!

  5. why not take industrial or mechanical that way when aerospace world is on its lean times you could have a job in other related field. industrial alone you develop or improve things in any field of work. mechanical, most of our engineers in our airline were mostly mechanical and they're reliability engineers making sure that our airline dispatch is near 100%.
