Affordable living arrangments.?

Are there any affordable living arrangments for someone with a low income of about $800 a month? I dont want to share a room but i would be willing to share a house.. get a room mate etc. what other options are available?

With that income you should have no trouble qualifying for rental assistance.  Go down to the local social security office and apply for assistance.

I think these would be your options.

-Move in with a friend that wouldn't require rent.

-Get a better job.

Look into section 8 housing. There is also such a thing as income restricted rentals. The property owner gets a tax break if they have rental units for under market rate. Go to apartments.com and do a search. There is a box to check for income restricted properties. You may also want to consider getting a roommate! Good luck!
