Do you find it funny Dodger fans are hailing him as the best move before the trade deadline?

  1. Yeah I just posted a question about the Dodger fans on here.  They think Manny was the final piece to send them to the promised land, like he's their savior.  Did he make the team better?  Yes.  Does him coming in make them instant contenders for the World Series?  Not even close.  Even with Manny added to the Dodgers roster, I would still take the Cubs, Brewers, Cardinals, Mets, Phillies and Marlins over the Dodgers.

To Salty, Billy Beane is a great GM, but he doesn't always make the right moves.  Hudson has been lights out in Atlanta and until this year very dependable to go out there every day.  Harden has been injury prone, but we're 1 month past that trade and he's still pitching awesome (1-1, 1.11 ERA, 39K's in 4 starts) so I don't know how you can say the Cubs didn't get a good deal there, not to mention the Cubs also got Chad Gaudin in that deal who's got like a 1.57 ERA and is one of our most effective pitchers out of the pen since coming over.  Haren has been great in Arizona.  So I don't know what baseball games you are watching, but all of those teams are doing great with their pitchers aquired from Oakland.  Of course to try and prove your point you use Blanton as your source.  Try doing some of your own research instead of just listening to what you hear on ESPN.

  2. well, he is performing, so of course they would say that..............but they are still a mediocre team even with manny, if they do make the playoffs, i dont think they get far..............

just wait till manny stops playing hard and starts doing stupid stuff, then we will see how much they like him

  3. Manny has done nothing but produce for the Dodgers since the trade (except hitting into a DP in the bot. 9th of his first game). I think he is like 8-14 in LA with a few RBIs. If that (so far) isn't a good move considering they only gave up 2 prospects, I don't know what is.

I'm not saying Manny is the cure-all that LA needs, but in a weak division like the NL West, any little spark can help get you into the playoffs.

  4. dude LAD had pitching, they needed a bat and they got the best one so duh, totally the best move... they gave up a 3b and a very young arm and they don't have to pay for Manny what a steal indeed!!! They just got Casey Blake fr 3b.

Minnesota didn't have to trade to get Liriano. and congrats on 1st place beat the Chi Sox they are tools.

The Cubs?! heck no... Billy Beane always gives up pitchers and they break the next month... already happened to Philly; Blanton is done.

Zito? Hudson? Mulder?   Harden already has injury problems...

Brewers did good to get CC but will they get to keep him?  And they gave up Matt LaPorta... you will see him next year and say wow!!!

LAD and NYY won the trade deadline game.

Edit: Cubs bear: dude, Harden already has injury problems, he's already been out this year.  Haren, had injury issues too and Billy was gonna have to pay him and that's not money ball... And HUDSON IS DL RIGHT NOW!!!!! so why don't you watch some games before you go out and accuse others of not watching games... get my info from ESPN plz.

Oh and BEARS SUCK! and So do the Cubs 100 years of losing bahahaha.

    always tough guys in Chicago.

  5. Are we still talking baseball.

Manny has two homers plus 6 other hits. Eight hits for thirteen at bats and five ribbies out of a total of fourteen runs scored by Dodgers since Manny started playing for the Dodgers

    What is your point?.

And speaking of pitching, the Dodgers have a team ERA  of 3.63 which leads the NL.
