Again... friend pregnant!?

ok people keep saying ovulated or whatever i dont really get what thats is so if someone could explain it .. and my friend had her period about the 14th she thinks or maybe before.. that she had unprotected s*x 3 days ago he busted in her so do you think shes pregnant chances?

ovulation is when the ovaries release an egg and only happens once inbetween each period. based on a 28 days cycle (hers could be longer or shorter), counting from the first day of the period, the egg is usually released about half way through, so therefore ovulation would occur on day 14 (if someone has a 32 day cycle they would ovulate around day 16). The egg lives for only 12-24 hours, and you can only really get pregnant during this time, so there would have to be sperm in her v****a at the time the egg is released. sperm lives for up to 5 days in the body. so if ejaculation occured within 5 days or so before the egg is released then there is a posibility of the sperm fertilizing the egg. once the egg is released and dies, there is no chance of pregnancy (unless for some strange reason the ovaries release another egg, but is not very likely).

If your friend has a 28 day cycle, which the "average" woman has, her egg would have been released around the 28. If she had s*x 3 days ago, on the 23, that leaves 6 days from her possible day of ovulation. usually there is a range of days for ovulation, since some women ovulate sooner or later than others. So her possible days of ovulation could be Aug. 26-30. If she had s*x on the 23, and the sperm lives for around 5 days, then yes, it is very very likely she could get pregnant, depending on the exact day she ovulates and how long the sperm lives inside of her.

But don't forget that every woman is different. She could have a much longer cycle or a much shorter cycle, so the facts i am giving you are just an example-they may not be accurate for her specific cycle!

Although, there is always a posibility of pregnancy whenever there is unprotected s*x, so if you don't want to get pregnant, then use as many forms of protection as possible!!

Ovulation is when a woman's body releases an egg that, when paired with a man's sperm, could become a baby. Generally it occurs in the middle of a woman's menstrual cycle but not always.

Yes there's a very good chance that she could get pregnant. If she doesn't want to be pregnant she should always wear protection.
