Question:

Age restriction in Paris hotels?

We (me and my friend) are planning a trip to the France. We have our parents written permissions to leave the country and so on, but there's another problem that we're facing - the website of the hotel which we want to book says that there'is an "age restriction".

Does this mean that you must be a certain age old to check in that hotel?

How old do you have to be to check in a hotel in France?

We are both seventeen, by the way.

That hotel is named Hotel Balladins de la Seine, Paris.

  1. A person cannot contract for services untill they reach the age of majority (18).

Renting a hotel room is a form of contract for services.

Therefore you cannot rent a hotel until you are 18.

The solution is simple. Have your parents contact the hotel directly and give them whatever assurance that the hotel requires, that they, rather than you, will be responsible for paying the bill.

EDIT: Is this the hotel at 51,av de lattre de Tassigny, 93800 Epinay sur seine? (That is out in the "suburbs" to the north of Paris by the way...not a place I'd advise staying at if you want to see Paris) The phone should be 01 58 34 00 55
