Manchester City striker and Argentine goal scoring machine, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-c33030 Aguero has gone on to reveal that he would have joined Real Madrid, had the Spanish side bid for the player.
The forward formerly represented Atletico Madrid, and was then signed by Manchester City for a fee believed to be around thirty eight million pounds.
In his debut season for the Manchester based club, the forward went on to score a very impressive twenty three goals, including a goal in the last minute of the season, which saw City go on and win the Premier League title.
Despite the success that he has enjoyed at the club, it now seems like the player didn’t think City to be his preferred destination at the time of his move.
The player then went on to claim that if Madrid had wanted to sign him in the past, he would have joined the team. However, with City making the only decent bid for him, he had no choice to join City.
"If Madrid had wanted me, I would be playing here. I had no choice but to sign with Manchester City."
Many believed that Aguero wouldn’t play for Madrid, given the rivalry between the two teams from the same City.
However, Aguero thinks that he would have still joined Madrid had they been interested in him, despite all the rumours that are floating about to deny this claim.
"I never said that I wouldn't play with Real Madrid because I didn't want to betray Atletico," Aguero noted.”
Following these quotes that he made, he went on to use his Twitter account to go on and try to make things seem a lot less tense.
He admitted that he was happy at City, and wanted to help them win more titles in the future.
When talking about City and his life at the club, he used his Twitter account to state: "Just to make it clear - I'm very happy to be in @MCFC. It's the best decision I could have taken.”
"I feel comfortable and appreciated in @MCFC - it's a project I feel involved in. We want more titles and we'll get them!"
