Ah no, this dream again?

Question

I keep having this dream that this big devilish guy is chacing me and I hide all of the time from him but he finds me. This dream is mixed with my mom and dad getting back together and a little girl also my boyfriend has been in it a lot. Theres weird things that happen in my dreams and I cry all of the time becuase I can't get away from the guy. I try killing him all the time and I have dreams of running through weird places. Like once my grandma was in it and she was all nice trying to get me away from the guy (devil) then all of a sudden she turned around and pushed me toward the guy.

I am so scared of sleeping.

Any way to stop this? Or help.

I think it means you're struggling with your own demons.  Maybe your parents getting divorced really affected you.

try watching your favorate movie before you go to sleep.  One that has no demons.

Sounds terrible.

My initial impression is that something has you really frightened, and it's within you, because no one seems to be able or willing to help you out.  Explore big problems or personal character flaws in your life.

Next time, when you see the guy, tell yourself that this guy only exists in dreams.  Since it is your dream, you get to call the shots.  Rearrange the dream in your mind so that the bad guy gets the ax, not you.

This may take a little practice, but really, you CAN do it.

Before you go to sleep, ask God for His help.  Just tell him you don't know what to do, and ask Him to show you.

Hey, I've had dreams like this as well, one person tracking me down through it all and there are family, friends, all kinds of others there. I think a lot of people have dreams like this when they are dealing with pent-up emotions, and they push them down and down because they don't want to deal with them consciously, so our subconscious takes over and tries to make us face them while we sleep. I don't know why you are having this dream in particular, but something that helps me? Lean a mattress against a wall and punch the c**p out of it. Even if you're completely calm when you start, the actions begins to release emotion. I was skeptical, but the first time I tried it, I cried harder than I'd ever remembered crying. Try it before you go to bed. Perhaps an emotional release, even if you don't think you need one, will keep the dream away. Also, if it's affecting you to the point that you are afraid of sleeping, that fear is probably adding to the negative content of the dream.
