  1. Yeah - your best bet is looking into a Polaroid pack-film camera.  I personally have 6 of them, the Land Camera 210, 215, 230, 440, Minute Maker, and the Reporter.  The Fuji replacement for these cameras actually works remarkably well.  Especially the Color film, FP-100C.  The colors are brighter, better saturated, and it's around the same price as the old Type 669 film

The days when the picture just slides out of the front of the camera seem to be drawing to a close.  You COULD still try to get one of the 600 cameras, but especially by Christmas, the film will be growing harder and harder to find.

  2. Polaroid has gone out of the film and camera business. If you still are interested, the thing to look for are the packfilm cameras that use the 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 film. Look on Craigslist.org or ebay. Fuji has licensed this technology and is making film for the format. (Type 669)

Don't bother with any of the 600 cameras, as this film will be soon completely gone. You might be able to find a few boxes here and there, but it's getting more difficult as current stocks get depleted.

  3. ebay is your best chance. Finding good film that isn't past it's expiration date will be difficult.
