I've heard somebody say that Air Traffic Controllers in Canada have a starting salary of $100,000? That's well over the starting pay for the states so I was wondering if that was true?

  1. NAV CANADA’s Air Traffic Controllers can earn between $53,000 and $101,000 per year, depending on the position, the type and location of the facility they work in and level of experience.

  2. Yeah....in Canadian money!

  3. Nah its not.  Just like everything else it depends on seniority and experience.  A beginning controller will probably start out at a control tower inn BFE for a couple years making $10 an hour.  After a few years you can apply to be a center controller where you are paid significantly more.

And to the guy who posted just above me...the Canadian dollar is worth almost exactly as much as the American dollar right now.  I'm an American but sheesh...stop bagging on Canada.  Especially if you're an idiot.

  4. It's true, can you believe it. And to think in France the poor suckers have to live on only about 30,000 euros. And the Japanese controllers get half a million yen. Wow.
