Air mailing fabric from Japan?

Has anyone here in the US ( or NYC to be specific) ever ordered fabric from Japan using Air Mail service? The site I want to order from offers Air Mail service and I'm wondering if Air Mail is as safe and reliable as Express Mail Service? I want to make sure I receive my order.

I would be more concerned with the company that I am doing business with than the way they plan to mail your fabric.  

If they are a reputable company and have shipped the fabric to the USA before, they will know the best way to ship it.

Make sure that the company is REPUTABLE!!!
