Air mattress vs sleeping pad?

Honestly, its really not too much about comfort because i can sleep on almost anything as long as its flat. Which one is more practical and convenient? Product suggestions would be nice, my budget is to try to keep it under 30$

  1. It also depends on whether or not you will be backpacking. If you are going for light weight and small price, a ground pad would be the best thing. If you would like some comfort and the weight is not really an issue, a twin size air mattress costs about $20 at wal-mart. Blowing it up can be a chore but it makes for some very comfy sleeping! I use a pad mostly because I just don't want to be blowing up an air mattress and don't carry a compressor in the car all the time.

  2. sleeping pads are better.  there lighter and more convenient,  and they dont require to be inflated.  i also notice all of my inflatible matresses leak after 2-5 camping trips.  if you want to save money, bring just some sheets and wrap yourself up in them.
