  1. 1st - pick a decent art store (not Michael's).  A good store will have a section just for airbrushes and things you need to go with them.

I have had the best time with my paasch air brush.  The starter kit even comes with a set of skill lessons to help you get oriented and gain control.  They work very well.  In no time, you want to airbrush everything you see and make.

the very simplest is the "H" modle.  You can get different size heads, depending what kind of work you want to do.  The H is also a single action control, which is great for beginers or if you plan to use it to spray anything thicker than airbrush paint.

make sure you choose a long hose

pick up some extra jars, too.  that way you can have your colors all ready to go

and a mild cleaner - don't want it to get jammed with old paint - be super careful to clean between colors and uses

you also have to think about you air supply - you can use little cans, but a compresseris best and worth the cost if you use it a lot (they're a bit expensive.  I use one at the pottery studio I work at, so i don't need my own.  if you are in school or community programs or know anyone with a compresser - take advantage and share.

It is so much fun and has a billion uses.

    Good Luck and Have FUN
