Airline Pilot in New York??

Question

What Airlines have their "base", or FLY out of New York?

Is New York a top "base" spot for Airlines in the US?

Do you have a good chance of getting based in New York with an airline if you are a pilot?

New York as in -LaGuardia, MacArthur, and JFK?

All NY airports are major transit spots for international airlines. Delta is out of Chicago, American is out of Atlanta, Northwest is out of Detroit. I'm not sure about other airlines.

Just to correct the above, American does not have a pilot  base in Atlanta.  American has pilot bases in Miami, New York, Chicago and Dallas, and perhaps a few smaller bases still.

Delta does not have a pilot base in Chicago.  Their pilot bases are in Atlanta, Cinncy, New York, Los Angeles,  and Salt Lake City.
