It's been years since I've gone on a plane flight and I was wondering..

I have 2 bags I want to go onto the plane

And i have 1 carry on bag.

However, my question is can I bring my purse with my carry on?

does a purse count as a carry on?

  1. Yes you are allowed to bring one carry on item along with one personal item (ie. purse or backpack). So you will be fine to have both of them with you on the aircraft.

  2. You shouldn't have a problem, as long as your purse fits within the carry-on limitations on size (which it should do).  If there is a problem, put your purse *in* your carry-on bag and take that as one unit.

You could always call the airport or the airline for details.

  3. I just flew and they are now charging for two bags to check... only allowed one "free" one.  (At least for the airline we flew on... not sure if it's for all!!!)  I would check into it.  Other than that, yes you can have a carry on... AND a purse.

  4. Yes, it counts...you're allowed one carry on and a smaller bag, such as a purse...

  5. You are allowed one carry on and one smaller personal item. A personal item is something like a purse, briefcase, laptop bag, backpack, shopping bag, anything that can fit comfortably underneath the seat in front of you. So your purse plus a carry on bag is fine.

  6. of course you could bring your purse with another hand carry..

it a FREE hand luggage allowance along with your hand carry  like most major international airlines use to say :)

  7. no its fine i always bring a carryon and a purse dont worry
