  1. 8 hours is fairly long, but certainly not as bad as 12 or 15. Books make the time fly, as does sleep if you can manage it. Also if the airline has personal tv's, they are always fun to watch.

As for the feeling, well, you will definitely feel the force on take-off but it is fun more than scary! Make sure you get up a few times and walk around, even if you dont need to use the toilet take some time to walk and stand around. Splashing a bit of water, or using moisturiser on your face will refresh you as it can get quite dry in the cabin.

Hope you get to go and have a good time

  2. Drink heavily before and sleep though the flight.

  3. ok the first time i went on a plane was to germany lol - you just go relli fast on take off and u can kinda feel he force , but then when your in the air for a few mins its a little wobbly - then its all smooth and peaceful , bring a book or something - i love the landing because you swoop down and it feels amazing x*x

  4. 8 hrs is a long time, but if the flight your on has mini televisions (which will surely have some movies to offer) then flying will be much easier. It isnt scary being on a flight, u dont feel anything while ur up there, but only on take off & landing, its can be a lil noisy & u might feel a funny sensation in ur belly, but thats it !

just chew some gum when u take off or put on some cotton ear buds, to avoid ur ears from getting blocked while in flight, carry a fully loaded/charged i-pod & play that when u take off, it'll calm u down ( but it isnt scary). Carry magazines, just incase u dont have TV's or any other form of entertainment on board.

Have a great trip in Germany & hope this helped!

  5. I went from Manchester to Erlangen in two stages.  The first stage was to Berlin and was in a normal size plane.  It was lovely and I enjoyed it very much.  The second stage was on a much smaller aircraft and was a little bit bumpier but the stewardess were so nice and the other passengers so friendly that I soon forgot all about the bumpiness and had a good time.  Enjoy yourself, you will be fine.

  6. Flying is a piece of cake.  If you hit turbulence, don't sweat it, its normal :)  Ive flown from Germany out of Baltimore and it was also around 8 hours.  Sort of a long time, pretty big trip for a first time on a plane.  Just make sure you get up and walk around every once in awhile and you should be just fine
