  1. Well sir, i went on vacations plenty, Firstly, no LIQUIDS, NON AT ALL, they will just take it away. Only in baggage. No weapons of course, no metal sharp items like scissors or razor blades and stuff like that. No matches or lighters. Those stuff only go into baggage. You could bring food and always check all your metal stuff your bringing to make sure its safe and allowable on board.

  2. I would suggest that prior to traveling you visit the TSA website http://www.tsa.gov/ they have the complete list of what is and is not allowed on the aircraft with you in both your carry on and checked luggage. The regulations are changing so you should go on the site, just prior to packing.

Hope this helps and have a great trip!

  3. All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in 3oz (100ml) or less containers.

Larger containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are NOT allowed in carry-on luggage.

All liquids, gels and aerosols must be placed in a single, 1 quart (1 liter) size, zip-top, clear plastic bag. Larger bags or bags that are not zip-top are not allowed.

Each traveler can use only ONE, 1 quart (1 liter), zip-top, clear plastic bag.

Each traveler must remove their 1 quart (1 liter) sized plastic, zip-top bag from their carry-on and place it in a bin or on the conveyor belt for X-ray screening.

There are exceptions for baby formula, breast milk, and other essential liquids, gels, and aerosols, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines.

  4. *****Liquids and gels 3 oz or less (toothpaste, after shave, etc.) must be placed in a 1 qt ziploc bag and presented to security.  Anything not in the ziploc bag or larger than 3 oz will be taken away.

Scissors with a blunt point must have a blade less than 4"

No firearms, explosives or similiar devices.  (no fireworks at all, including checked baggage)

Make sure you have removed all metal from your person before you go through security.  It will set off the machine.

Carryons must fit in the OH compartment or under the seat in front of you.

Checked baggage must weigh no more than 50# or a fee will incur.

Second checked bag now has a fee on most airlines

Going through security varies from airport to airport.  In Philly I had my peanut butter and celery taken away because it was a gel ~ go figure.  In Ontario, California I carry on 2 dozen Tamales and Avocados!

You may carry on liquids larger than 3 oz IF YOU PURCHASE THEM AT A DUTY FREE SHOP  and only AFTER YOU GO THRU SECURITY.  . . . and you can only go to a Duty Free Shop if you have traveled Internationally.
