Alice.exe program not responding!!!!?

I have Windows Vista and I installed the Alice.exe program from alice.org. Whenever I open it, it takes 3 minutes to load and then says the program isn't responding. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program multiple times, using the Slow and Steady Alice program, going into the "If Nothing Works Try This" File, and installing the file from Google Codes, but nothing works. I have read that you need to uninstall ImgIcon, but I don't have that program on my computer. I have tried for hours to get the program to work, but it never does!! Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

Make sure you are using Alice 2.0 and not Alice 2.2.  Alice 2.2 does not work well with Vista.  You can download from alice.org

ok well I have no idea what the alice.exe program does. But it sounds like the program is just not compatible with vista. Many programs have problems with vista. I also have vista and have had the same problem occasionally.
