Why do i see colors in various shapes when I rub my eyes?

I think because white color is a mixture of colours

I think that happens to everyone.  Something to do with the pressure and the brains signals or something.

The pressure waves in the vitreous gel in the eyeball are mechanically stimulating the retina.

The cells are firing in response to that instead of light, but the brain, naturally, interprets it as light.
