I agree with the Mauger/Muiliana combo. There's been talk about converted centers (Cullen and MacDonald) costing us previous RWC's but Mils has far more experience playing in this position. Although a very good player, McAlister has been prone to some poor decision making at times: chip kicks from within his own 22m and charging out of the defensive line to shut down Mortlock, only to be stepped and burned.

ohh id have to disagree on thaat one mccalister and smith proved at the end of the year last year they were the combination the last 2 world cups weve tried 2 put our fullback into center nd well we aall no wat happend then dontt we? mauger doesnt really break the line enough nd in the tri nations i think he played himself out of a jersey almost costing them the game vs south africa till lukey came on nd sparked the attack and in the 1st bledislode cup match mauger couldnt spark the backline in that game either i think his time in the black jumper is up
